“We process emotions the same way we process food and poor emotional digestion leads to ill health.” ~Gilles Marin
This dynamic 4th class for Fall-Metal begins with our Qigong warm-ups to release stagnation in the tissues and joints, invigorate our whole body, while opening our lungs and stretching our large intestine – critical factors in healthy digestion and elimination. In this practice, we'll pay special attention to our Large Intestine (LI) and it's 2 flexures, as well as the LI meridian with key points at the index fingers, LI4, LI17 &18 - to open and stimulate the organ's critical function of letting go. Vinyasa flows string together standing poses for greater overall strength and flexibility while continuing our work on the lungs and large intestine. Dragon’s Pearl Qigong is performed towards the end of this class to further deepen our awareness of our Metal organs and the large intestine's two flexures. Savasana uses the support of a bolster to continue nourishing our LI in a more subtle and gentle way.
