The 5th of 7 classes in this Wood-themed course for springtime to cultivate our power of regeneration invites us to cultivate a “youthful” or curious, open-minded, & playful approach to our practice. This dynamic class begins with some Qigong warm-up movements to release stagnation in the tissues and joints while invigorating the whole body, followed by Swimming Dragon Qigong to gently stretch and twist the spine while stimulating our brain. We’ll practice and warm-up in a variety of postures - while seated, lying supine and prone, with added stretches and strengthening poses. Finally coming back on our feet in order to move our bodies through a variety of flows and standing poses, all in preparation for our goal pose of Revolved Half-Moon or Parivrtta Ardha Chandrasana. As always, we finish with a relaxing Savasana to help integrate the practice into our body-minds.
