“We must let go of the life we have planned, so as to accept the one that is waiting for us.”
~ Joseph Campbell
Class 5 of 7 in our Water-themed practice to honour the Winter season – all about death & rebirth. The focus continues with the health and vitality of our primary Water organs, the Kidneys, and extends out through our entire skeletal structure. As usual, we begin with our Qigong warm-ups to release stagnation in the tissues and joints, invigorate our whole body, stimulate our kidneys, and shake deep into our bones (our Water tissues). Add to this a few minutes of “Cupping & Tapping” to further densify our bones while stimulating stem cell production. As usual, we flow through vinyasas with longer-held standing poses for greater overall strength and flexibility to cultivate strong, healthy Qi, while densifying our bones. Our class finishes with a restorative Savasana to fully integrate our practice into our body-minds and deep into our marrow.
