The fourth class for Summer-Fire begins outside for a few minutes of Sunning Qigong to invoke the healing power of the Sun and balance our hormones. This practice simultaneously boosts our feel-good hormones (endorphins, serotonin, melatonin...) while lowering our stress hormones (cortisol, adrenalin...). Back inside we'll do our standing Qigong warm-ups to release stagnation in the tissues and joints while invigorating the whole body. The remainder of the class has us integrating the good work with restorative yoga poses to continue opening our 3rd eye and awakening 6th sense & intuition. As always, we finish with a relaxing Savasana to help integrate the practice into our body-minds.
