As a long time practitioner and teacher of yoga, qigong, and meditation, I have seen first hand the deep transformative and healing power of a committed, long-term practice. It is everyone’s birthright to discover the joy and freedom that lies within themselves and I have made it my life’s work to facilitate and to serve others in this, their personal journey, their own spiritual alchemy.
Taoism can be traced back thousands of years and is the foundation of Chinese philosophy and medicine. It is a set of traditions and practices which emphasize balanced living and harmony with the Tao, or "natural order". The vast majority of these deal with the nourishing-life arts, of which qigong is a part.
Qigong combines the words "qi", which means "subtle breath" or "vital energy" and "gong" which means "skillful cultivation through steady practice". Therefore qigong is a system of coordinated body-posture and movement, breathing, and meditation used for the purposes of health, longevity, spirituality, and martial arts. It enhances our quality of life by healing, realigning, and harmonizing our physical, mental, emotional, energetic, and spiritual bodies.
Self-cultivation is a path of transformation into our best selves, who we are meant to be. It's what allows self-growth. It is a path of healing and a means of staying on our path of healing. It can also mean outgrowing the stages of conflict where we get lost. Self-cultivation techniques like qigong allow us to outgrow the conditions that generate internal conflicts.

"I didn't know what to expect when I joined Cristina's classes except that I knew I needed something easy to do at home and that she was a great teacher.
As soon as I started TW, I felt like I found what I was meant to do for my best physical health. It made my body feel strong and feminine, it gave me mental focus, it cleared my mind and has given me a feeling of strength in my body as a woman.
I also love the VE, they have been an excellent tool for me to release emotions and keep my brain and heart running smoothly.
I feel very fortunate to have these classes, I think more people should know about them because they work your body but they keep your brain calm too.
I won't ever join a gym again- I've found what I'm meant to do for the next chapter of my life as a grown woman.
Thanks Cristina, you're amazing. "

"Cristina is my favourite yoga teacher! I've had many over the last 30 years, and her teaching style is the most accessible to all levels of practitioner, and infused with her genuine love and caring for her students and the practice of yoga. She is full of knowledge about the body, mind, and heart, and beautifully combines principles of yoga, qigong, and Buddhism into rich, thoughtful classes that have had a very positive impact on my well-being. I highly recommend her as a teacher.""

"I really appreciate Cristina’s educational approach to teaching. For each class she chooses one area of the body as a centre of attention, and then brings her wide range of knowledge to focus upon it. Her extensive study and practices in Yoga, Qi Gong and Tibetan Buddhism give her a wide range of academic knowledge as well as personal experience to draw upon. She has the training and expertise to suggest modifications of poses to accommodate all abilities and bodies. I’ve learned so much from her classes, and feel so good in body and mind from practicing with her."

"I have been fortunate to participate in Cristina’s yoga and Qi Gong classes via zoom for over a year. I see benefits to my body and state of mind and notice how this provides good ground for my meditation practice.
Cristina is very knowledgeable and conveys instructions carefully, with warmth and clarity. She is comfortable teaching from a western anatomical viewpoint or from ancient Taoist teachings. I enjoy how Cristina can fuse yoga and Qi Gong and have found it useful that each of the classes are linked to a weekly theme. My interest and retention improved by being immersed in movements aimed at the better functioning of specific areas.
I am in my mid seventies and appreciate how Cristina frequently opens classes with relaxing into seated posture or resting on our backs. Then she gently reminds us to honour our own body, to be comfortable, and to remember that is our practice, to adapt as we need.
It has been very helpful to be carefully guided in and out of postures, step by step. I eventually overcame a tendency to limit movement in order to protect previously injured areas. I noticed more trust and awareness of what my body could do, and how breathing assists the process. One amazing benefit is that I can return to sitting with my back straight in seated posture for longer periods of time.
Being more flexible in mind and body helps helps me settle more easily in my spiritual practice. I enjoy the quiet meditative feeling after class. Especially with Qi Gong I feel more harmonious and open.
Thanks Cristina, much appreciated!"

"These powerful and yet gentle yoga and chi gong sessions are available on demand to meet anyone's schedules. I've found Cristina to be expertly trained in safe and effective practices and as a result, my own strength, endurance and wellness has increased without injury. At all levels, you'll find something new and interesting to spark your practice, and it has been such a delight to try new approaches that I hadn't considered before. I highly recommend this teacher."
